Curls & Texture

The curl exists but the pattern breaks up, with frizz on top and straighter parts underneath. By evening, definition drops and it becomes easier to tie the hair back.

Curls don't need effort — they need calm and the right moisture.

The more you touch, comb, and adjust a curl throughout the day, the faster it loses its shape — that's the real mistake, not dryness or weather. The pattern holds longest when hair is simply left alone.

Care goals

  • Bring out the curl pattern
  • Hold moisture
  • Calm the frizz
  • Keep volume at the roots

What to do at home

Curls need water and a layer that holds it in place. Apply leave-in on wet hair so the curl can form itself. Diffuse on medium heat or air dry, then avoid touching during drying.

What to avoid

  • Brushing curls dry
  • Blow-drying without a diffuser
  • Rubbing hair with a towel

For curl that loses its pattern I keep this trio: cleanse, mask, then leave-in on wet hair so the shape can form.
